About DaVinci Performance

Beginning in 1989, Dan DaVinci's unique insights into fuel induction inspired him to open DaVinci Carburetor.  At the time, this market was non-hostile and had much room for improvement.  With Dan's operations experience from years as an A & P (Airframe and Powerplant) crew supervisor for Continental Airlines and with a degree in engineering, DaVinci Carburetor L.L.C. became increasingly successful in the field of carburetor modification.

The DaVinci carburetor is the carburetor most often used by winners in NHRA's Competition eliminator.   DaVinci carburetors have also been used on some of the top winning cars in NASCAR.  Five Winston Cup Races have included cars using a DaVinci carburetor.

In 2000, DaVinci Performance began to focus on the Twin-V engine and Harley-Davidson market.  Fuel induction technology in this market had not changed for many years and DaVinci Performance aimed to facilitate that improvement. DaVinci Performance has successfully applied it's expertise to the legendary S&S carburetor by developing a booster kit that can be easily installed and that affects a substantial increase in horsepower.  DaVinci also sells this modified carburetor in a chrome plated version aptly titled FirePower.

In 2003, DaVinci was awarded the 'Most Innovative Product’ award by Hot Bike magazine.  Also in 2003, DaVinci Performance provided a feature product on Discovery Channel’s American Chopper television series.  DaVinci produced a "fire hydrant" themed carburetor for Orange County Chopper's "Firebike," a tribute to firefighters who gave their lives on 9/11.  This would not be the only time DaVinci carburetors was featured prominently in an episode of American Chopper.  In 2004, DaVinci created carburetors were also seen on OCC’s "Liberty Bike" in the form of a torch replica from the Stature of Liberty, as well as on the "Dixie Chopper.”
